NewsMay 11, 2007WellThot Inc. celebrated its 13th anniversary. March 24, 2004 WellThot Inc. will exhibit at the Peoria Chamber of Commerce Area Business Connection at the Peoria Civic Center. January, 2004 With the increase of serious email virus threats, we helped several customers strenghen their defenses by installing free email virus scanning software on their email servers. October, 2003 With the rapid increase of unsolicited email, WellThot Inc. has begun working with free software solutions that have cut our own email volumes from hundreds of junk messages per day to one per week. September 8-12, 2003 Our company president, Mark Schwenk, served as conference chair for The 10th Conference on Pattern Languages of Programs 2003. October, 2002 Helped an Illinois college migrate their web and email server to a Linux system. This server provides email service to thousands of users daily and provides the main web site for the college. The new server provided better service at a lower cost. August, 2002 Installed refurbished servers for an Illinois college that increased capacity over their old server by a factor of 8 and allowed them to setup a spare server. The cost for both servers was a fraction of the cost of their old server. This was the pinnacle of our efforts this year in which we helped a number of our clients improve their productivity with smaller budgets through the use of refurbished computer systems. October, 2001 Completed a Smalltalk software development project for a major client which involved updating an insurance claims processing system to run on newer claim agent workstations. October 4, 2001 WellThot Inc. relocated from Glen Ellyn, IL to Morton, IL. October, 2000 Completed a Smalltalk software development project which helped a telecommunications company meet new regulatory demands. July 17, 2000 WellThot Inc. President Mark Schwenk participated at the Camp Smalltalk CS2 in Annapolis, MD. March 14, 2000 WellThot Inc. President Mark Schwenk participated at the Camp Smalltalk CS1 in Santa Diego, CA. March 11, 2000 WellThot Inc. President Mark Schwenk participated at the SqueakEnd 2000 in Santa Barbara, CA. December 8, 1998 WellThot Inc. President Mark Schwenk has been elected to serve as President of the Chicago Chapter of the Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA) for 1999. This organization serves both consultants and businesses seeking consultants. More information about the organization can be found on their web site at www.icca-chicago.org. May 4, 1998 WellThot Inc. has acquired new data conversion tools that enable us to help you export data from QuickBooks data files for use in a custom database or other application software. February 17, 1997 WellThot Inc. has established a new company web site for itself at http://www.wellthot.com. As its clients become more sophisticated in their use of online resources, WellThot Inc. plans to use its web site to improve its communication with them. The web site includes an overview of the company and its products, services, and staff. The site also includes links to resources on other web sites that may be useful to WellThot Inc. clients.
